Who We Are
Reforge Charleston is an education based non-profit makerspace based in Charleston, SC. We provide a facility for people to utilize tools and equipment, teach classes for the general public and hold events for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) awareness.
Reforge Charleston seeks to promote technological literacy in the community. Our inclusive approach to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) education seeks to engage all ages, skill levels, and cultural backgrounds.
Our vision involves the establishment and support of creation spaces. These "creation spaces" are unique physical locations where technical knowledge, specialized equipment, and cooperation drive STEAM education. STEAM education is an acronym for "Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math". Anyone in our community with the desire to learn and the daring to create, is welcome to visit our space and share in the discovery of new skills, creativity and knowledge.
